Summary:

Upon conducting an initial heuristic evaluation and usability testing on the site, it was discovered that users found the website very cluttered with a lot of useless information, confusing to use, and that it took too many clicks to get where they wanted to go. Through the use of content auditing, card sorting, and competitive analysis, the Information Architecture of the site was revamped, focusing on speed, ease of navigation as well as organisation of relevant information. The new site was then validated with further usability testing to positive reviews.

UX tool kit:

Axure RP, Optimal Workshop, Pen and Paper

results:

  • The navigation was reduced to 2 clicks with a large menu tab, allowing for quicker navigation.
  • The NUS Business School’s vision and mission advocated clearly on the homepage.
  • Redundancies were eliminated with the overall layout and visual design simplified and streamlined.
